Our first "Most Excellent Adventure" in blogging

Well, three of us met at Starbuck's, got our Frappucino, and booted up our computers. Little did we know that we would have to pay for wireless service. Yes, we are not computer savvy and it's the blind leading the blind!! We ended up back at our school with our Starbucks to get started setting up our blog. We were successful.

After setting up our blogs, we looked at other teachers' blogs. They are very impressive. The teachers have children's work and pictures posted. What I really like are the children's stories which the children actually read to you. Two questions, however, do come to mind. When did the teacher find the time for these children to read? It seemed very quiet while the children were reading. What were the other children in the classroom doing? Did the children do it on their own or was the teacher there to help? My friends and I discussed several possibilies for this. I am interested to know how teachers manage this.

  1. At least we could get the Starbucks to go!
I too am anxious to know how we will find the time to do this - fun as it seems! I am open to learning.

  2. Good points. I would also like to know how teacher's manage this. We did discuss how it might be done in the computer lab taking turns using the microphone.

  3. Bummer about the Starbucks - BUT a tip, if any of you use ATT as your home internet provider you can get FREE access at Starbucks.
On the other thing - finding time is hard, but I did have a 1st grade teacher use podcasting where we recorded the kids reading - I went in and helped with the technical stuff, I recorded the kids while they read and you would be surprised how quiet the other kids were - when we get to the podcasting part of this you will see how easy it can be.
love the name of your blog!!
